literacy night

Rocky Fork Elementary recently partnered with Read to Succeed and Lipscomb University College of Education to host a Family Literacy Night for PreK-2nd grade families. The night started with dinner provided by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Families then moved into classrooms to engage in activities with Lipscomb University students based on the book "The Scarecrow" by Beth Ferry. Each family left with a craft they made together and a copy of the book!

Mrs. Weinman also hosted a stuff animal sleepover in the library. Our PreK-2nd grade students got to drop off their stuffed animal for a night of fun! Use this link to check out what the stuffed animals did in the library that night: https://canva.link/mfdkq1hu0dnu7iw

Thank you to Read to Succeed, Dollar General Literacy Foundation, Smyrna High School Beta Club, and RFE teachers for making Literacy Night a success!
