Mr. Scott Bolden
Principal
Mr. Scott Bolden has been in education 21 years as a teacher and administrator. He has served as a classroom teacher at Eagleville School, Homer Pittard Campus School and David Youree. He has taught both first and fourth grades, served as an academic coach, an assistant principal and a principal.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Middle Tennessee State University, a Masters of Arts in Education from Cumberland University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University. He has one son Max. When he isn’t at school, Mr. Bolden enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves music, college basketball, Titans football, and taking cruises with his family and friends.
Mr. Bolden is super-excited to serve as the first principal of Rocky Fork Elementary. He believes that clear communication, building relationships, focusing on soft skills, and being student focused are key components to successful schools.

Mrs. Mindy Simpson
Assistant Principal
Mindy Simpson has served in educator for eighteen years with eleven years being in Rutherford County. Her career in Rutherford County Schools began at David Youree Elementary where she taught 3rd grade and served as an Instructional facilitator.
Mrs. Simpson grew up in Arkansas and began her teaching career in the Blytheville Public School District where she taught 2nd grade, served as a Reading First Literacy Coach, and as the Academic Excellence Program Coordinator. She received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR and her specialist degree in education from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Simpson resides in Smyrna. Mrs. Simpson loves to spend time with her husband Scott, her daughter Camille, and son and daughter-in-law Seth and Sophia.
Mrs. Simpson is excited to be a part of Rocky Fork Elementary School. She believes that the best school cultures are ones that are student focused while supporting staff and community and encouraging all students to succeed. Her favorite quote is by Ron Clark, "If you don't have what it takes in your heart, what is in your mind is useless." Believing in yourself is important to achieving your goals. Mindset matters!
During her free time, Mrs. Simpson enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Otis, reading, and traveling. |
